The compact design simplifies installation, making this the perfect accessory to a small water feature. Connect tubing to one of the predrilled ports, and run it to your pump. Use the included plug to stop the other port. This allows for versatile placement and makes piping convenient. Rest the unit on the water's edge, across from a waterfall, and ensure that the water level is 2/3 the height of the weir. Remove the basket and clean it periodically to keep the water flowing nicely through the skimmer. This piece has a 5.25" wide weir, ideal for skimming ponds up to 1,000 gallons. The easy-to-install weir cover plate features an eighteen-screw attachment, a foam backed door, and silicon sealant to ensure a leak-free fit to the liner. The large capacity leaf basket catches debris as it enters the skimmer, while water escapes through the holes at the bottom of it. The basket is easily removed for convenient routine maintenance and cleaning. The pump compartment offers ample space for most pumps and unbeatable access. You may easily cut an opening in the front of the skimmer for a low water intake, or add a drain or additional discharge using a hole saw or jig saw.
